MCDOT has announced its third annual Paint the Plow Contest as part of National Public Works Week. Any middle school interested in participating can sign up at the link below.
Snowplows will be dropped off at participating schools on Monday, May 6 between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. MCDOT asks students to come up with a snowplow name and paint it on the front of the snowplow. Snow plows will be picked up on Thursday, May 16 between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
MCDOT will supply all materials needed for painting the snowplows.

Prizes (check to school):
- 1st Place: $500
- 2nd Place: $300
- 3rd Place: $200
Judging will take place on Truck Day, May 18, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Attendees will be able to cast a ballot for the design they like best. The painted snowplows will be put into service during the winter season and photos will be displayed on MCDOT’s website and social media.
