Germantown Man Sentenced to 18 Years for Distribution of Child Pornography

Today in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, Judge Bibi Berry sentenced defendant, Hummad Siddiqui, 35, of Germantown, to 64 years in prison suspend all but 18 years to serve and five years of supervised probation upon release. He will be required to register as a sex offender.

Siddiqui pleaded guilty to eight counts of distribution of child pornography on December 20, 2023. He was arrested following an investigation by Montgomery County Police. The department was alerted to cyber tips from Google about Siddiqui’s internet activity that were reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Assistant State’s Attorney Frank Lazzaro prosecuted this case. “This is a just sentence that will help to protect our community, in particular our children. The State thanks Detective Bryan Savage and the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations Division Child Exploitation Unit for their collaboration and the thorough investigation leading to this arrest.,” said State’s Attorney John McCarthy.
