Montgomery County Police responded to the report of an armed carjacking in the 9700 block of Shadow Oak Drive in Montgomery Village on Wednesday, April 17.
According to police, “MCPD observed the carjacked vehicle in the area of 355 and Shady Grove Road. Following a brief pursuit the suspect crashed the vehicle in the 200 block Croydon Avenue.
An adult male suspect was apprehended and taken into custody.”
The Rockville City Police Department tweeted the following at 10:17pm: “The RCPD assisted the Montgomery County Police Department with an incident that began outside the City of Rockville and concluded at S. Stonestreet Ave. in the area of Reading Ave. a short time ago. There is no threat to the community and a suspect is in custody.”
