The Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Montgomery County Division, assisted by The Montgomery County Police Department Repeat Offender Unit, arrested Sam Khojasteh, a 19-year-old male from Gaithersburg, MD. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on April 10, 2024 at South Germantown Recreational Park 18041 Central Park Circle, Boyds, MD.
Per Park Police, “Khojasteh was charged with the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and numerous related traffic offenses, including fleeing the police. On April 10, 2024, Khojastech, along with several other vehicles, was seen driving recklessly and doing “doughnuts” in the parking lot of the soccer complex.
Employees asked the group to leave, and Khojasteh produced a handgun and pointed it at the staff. Khojasteh fled the area in a 2021 White Audi A5 with a vanity Virginia license plate, “TRYLOL.” Park Police responded, located the vehicle in the area, and attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. Officers did not pursue the vehicle.”
