Brody Richardson, 19-year-old Boyds man, has been charged in connection with a rollover collision that killed a Germantown woman last summer, according to Montgomery County Police. An MCPD press release that a photo for Richardson was not available.
The Salgado Family Christmas Display, created by siblings Pahan and Supuli Salgado, will open this year at a new location at Hope International Church, 15817 Barnesville Road in Boyds, MD. The Share Fair will take place at the Black Hill Discovery Center (20926 Lake Ridge Dr, Boyds), where participants can give away gently used items and browse others’ offerings for free. After more than a decade of planning, growing, and distilling, DC residents Megan Draheim and David Harris will open Song Dog Farm Distillery on Sunday, October 12, in the heart of the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve. Located on a 29-acre property at 18100 Bucklodge Road in Boyds, the farm distillery will feature on-site production of bourbon, rye, gin, vodka, liqueurs, and ready-to-pour cocktails. The venue will also include a tasting room, cocktail bar, and host year-round events celebrating local agriculture and craft spirits.

The King Barn Dairy MOOseum Barn at South Germantown Recreational Park (18028 Central Park Circle) is now open for the season. Visitors can explore the MOOseum on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. through October. Admission is free for individual visitors and families on regular open days.
On Monday, FOX 5 shared a video submitted by a viewer showing a possible alligator sighting in a small pond at the SoccerPlex in Boyds/Germantown. Park Police said they checked the pond and surrounding area but found no evidence of an alligator.
