With recent rumors of Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Jayden Daniels not wanting to play in Washington, his publicist Denise White has made it clear that Daniels is excited to be part of the NFL regardless of who drafts him.
While sharing a clip of ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter stating that it is likely the Washington Commanders draft Daniels at #2, his publicist tweeted the following, “Jayden Daniels is excited to be a part of the @nfl and wherever he is drafted he will be happy to be a part of that organization.”
In recent weeks, it seemed to be getting clearer that Washington would be drafting Daniels, but rumors have swirled the last few days regarding Daniels wanting to go elsewhere and possibly being unhappy with the Commanders not making it clear he’s their choice.
John Keim, who covers the Commanders for ESPN, tweeted on Friday evening that “Daniels remains firmly among the options. A strong one at that. Nothing has changed.” in response to a tweet by Drew Boylhart of The Huddle Report stating that J.J. McCarthy could be the pick due to the possible falling out between Daniels and the Commanders.
The 2024 NFL draft is scheduled to be held around Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza in Detroit, Michigan, on April 25-27.
