
7:42pm update: All travel lanes are now open
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to 10644 Connecticut Ave (Kensington) for a fire in an auto body shop at approximately 6:40pm on Sunday.
According to MCFRS Assistant Chief David Pazos, “Units extinguished a car fire and evaluated two occupants for non-life threatening injuries. No transports.”
Alert Montgomery put out a Severe Traffic Alert, with the following information: “Fire Department activity has closed Connecticut Avenue (MD-185) in both directions from Plyers Mill Road to Perry Avenue. Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”
