
Montgomery County Police have announced the arrest of 23-year-old Alex Dumitru and 18-year-old Natalian Dumitru for multiple burglaries in Montgomery County.
Per the news release: Between March and April 2024, unknown individuals allegedly forced entry into the following places, damaged and stole property and left the scene:
- A residence attached to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the 15000 block of Good Hope Road
- A residence located in the 2300 block of Spencerville Road
- The Noor Center in the 20500 block of Boland Farm Road
- US Zen Institute in the 19200 block of Liberty Mill Road
- A residence attached to the Wat Thai Washington, D.C. in the 13400 block of Layhill Road
During the course of the investigation, detectives identified A. Dumitru and N. Dumitru as suspects in two of the burglaries.
Baltimore County Police assisted Montgomery County Police detectives with serving a search & seizure warrant at Dumitru’s residence in Catonsville, MD, where A. Dumitru and N. Dumitru were arrested inside the residence and items of evidentiary value, connecting them to the US Zen Institute and Ahmadiyya Muslim Community burglaries, were located.
Detectives are still investigating the burglaries that occurred at the other three locations.
A. Dumitru and N. Dumitru were transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where they have been charged with first-degree burglary related charges. They were released on a $10,000 unsecured personal bond.
