
Montgomery County Police responded to the report of a shooting on Sunday, May 26, in Wheaton.
According to police, “at approximately 10:56 a.m., MCPD officers responded to the 2800 block of University Blvd. W., for the report of a shooting. An adult male victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, was located in the 3600 block of Lawrence Ave. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No suspect(s) are in custody at this time. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”
Cordell Pugh reports that the shooting occurred area of Wheaton Mall, between the Giant and Macy’s. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.
~10:50AM Sunday, male shot in the area of Wheaton Mall Ring Road between the Giant and Macy's. Man shot in shoulder, initially the victim left the area but sought assistance several blocks away and was transported (@KensingtonVFD đźš‘) to an area Trauma Center.
