Montgomery County Police and Capital Park Police are investigating a double homicide that occurred on Sunday, May 26, 2024 near Nolte Park in Silver Spring.
According to police, “At approximately 6:57 p.m. Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District and Maryland – National Capital Park Police officers responded to the 500 block of Thayer Ave. for the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located two 20-year-old males dead at the scene. There are no suspects in custody at this time. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”
