Per MCPD: Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police- 3rd District Station are investigating an attempted auto theft that occurred on Saturday, June 1, 2024, in the 8040 block of Kennett Street in Silver Spring. Officers have released photos of the three suspects and asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.
Suspect One: a Black male in his late teens, wearing a black surgical mask, a black Nike shirt, gray sweatpants, and carrying a blue backpack
Suspect Two: Black male in his late teens, wearing glasses, a black surgical mask, a blue hoodie, black pants, and carrying a black backpack
Suspect Three: Hispanic male in his late teens, wearing a red hoodie, a black ski mask, black pants, and carrying a black backpack
The suspects attempted to steal a vehicle at the location and left the scene after a security guard intervened.
