Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call for a house that was struck by lightning on the 10400 block of Peak View Ct, off of Cutsail Dr., in Damascus on Saturday night.
According to MCFRS chief spokesperson Pete Piringer, lightning struck a three-story single family home. There was significant damage to the chimney from the lightning strike, which also included damage to the living room on the first floor.
There was no fire evident, no smoke, and all occupants were able to get out without any injuries. Featured photo courtesy of Google Maps.
