Osmar Chavarria, 39, was killed after an incident involving the contractor bucket he was in making contact with power lines on Tuesday, July 9 in Ashton. The community is rallying to support his family with over $13,000 raised in 15 hours through a GoFundMe fundraiser.
According to Montgomery County Police, “On Tuesday, July 9, at approximately 11:59 a.m., 4th District officers were called to the 200 block of Ashburn Road for a report of an electrocution. Upon arrival, they found a 39-year-old male utility worker who had died at the scene. The Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division is investigating, which is standard procedure for all death investigations.
