With thunderstorm warnings across the area and many temporarily losing power during the storm, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) shared reports of several crashes and other incidents across the county on Monday afternoon/evening. They can be seen below:
• Village Park Drive and Manor Road, Chevy Chase, collision involving motorcycle
• Second Avenue and Luzerne Avenue, Silver Spring, collision
• 12900 Twinbrook Parkway Near Halpine Rd., Rockville, collision, involves pedestrian
• 14800 Braemar Crescent Way, Gaithersburg, house struck by lightning, @mcfrs PE731, PE708, PE732, PE729, PE734, T731, PAT708, RS729, M731, BC703, BC705, & others responding
• 20,200 Darnestown Rd. near W. Hunter Rd., Beallsville, collision
• 15600 Edwards Ferry Rd. Near River Rd., Poolesville, tree down, wires down, wires burning
• Severe Thunderstorm – numerous reports of trees down, wires down small brushfires (allegedly caused by wires) particularly IAO Falls Road, Bradley Blvd., River Road and elsewhere along Potomac & N Potomac areas
