A 45-year-old Germantown man has died following a fatal motorcycle collision that occurred on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in the 24800 of Old Hundred Road.
Per Montgomery County Police: “At approximately 1:51 p.m., 5th District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location for the report of a collision between a motorcycle and a combine harvester.
The investigation by the Montgomery County Department of Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) has revealed that Ian Capps was riding a brown 2018 Indian Scout motorcycle traveling southbound on Old Hundred Road when , for reasons that are still under investigation, collided with a John Deere Combine harvester that was traveling northbound on Old Hundred Road.
Capps was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the combine harvester remained at the scene. This is an active and ongoing investigation, and CRU detectives are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call (240) 773-6620.”
