Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department’s (MCPD 5th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying six unknown suspects involved in a shooting in Germantown last week. A video is available below.
According to a police press release sent out on Tuesday, July 23rd, The investigation by detectives has revealed that five unknown suspects were walking on a sidewalk when one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and discharged it towards a residence. The suspects then left the scene. A residence was struck by gunfire. Officers recovered shell casings from the scene.
The suspect who discharged a firearm is described as an unknown race male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black/white shoes. This occurred on Tuesday, July 17, 2024, at approximately 11:20 p.m. on the 20500 block of Staffordshire Drive in Germantown.
