On July 21, at approximately 4:29 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the area of New Hampshire Avenue and Larch Avenue for the report of a strong-arm robbery that involved five suspects.
According to a news release by Takoma Park Police sent out on Tuesday, July 23rd, “The victim was seated at the bus stop when he was approached by five unknown suspects. All five of the suspects assaulted the victim and one of the suspects went into the victim’s pocket and stole money. All five suspects fled on foot northbound on New Hampshire Avenue. One of the suspects returned to the scene to recover personal items dropped during the assault. The victim was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects were described as one Hispanic female, one Hispanic male and three Black males; one of them wearing all black clothing and a ski mask. A canvass of the area was conducted with negative results.
