Starbucks has opened its newest Montgomery County location in the redeveloped Westbard Square. The previous Starbucks at 5438 Westbard Avenue in the Westwood Shopping Center closed last December. The new store is located at 5310 Westbard Ave.
The $37 million first phase of the Westbard Square redevelopment project has signed new tenants with a few businesses already open in the 23-acre project at Westbard Ave. and Ridgefield Rd. Overall, the development will include 148,000SF of retail as well as Kensington Senior Living– a 116-unit assisted living facility that is currently under construction.
Already open in the center are Bowlero, Kumon Math & Reading center, Citgo gas station, a new Giant Food store, Voorthuis Opticians, and Westbard Barber Shop with more coming soon. Photos by Cordell Pugh.
