With millions of Americans moving each year and summer being the most popular time of year to move, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2024’s Best States to Live In with Maryland coming ranked 26th.
Maryland was up one spot from last year’s ranking, and is currently rated between Georgia (25) and Indiana (27). WalletHub compared the 50 states across 51 key indicators of livability. They range from housing costs and income growth to the education rate and hospital systems.
Maryland’s highest ranking in the individual categories came in ‘Education & Health’ where the state was ranked 16th. Its lowest ranking was in the ‘Affordability’ category, where Maryland came in 38th. The “Top 20 States To Live in” can be seen below.
