District 3 (Silver Spring) Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) Commander Jason Cokinos shared via social media on Saturday that an arrests were made for a street robbery after the juvenile suspects were spotted and tracked by Drone as First Responder (DFR).
“Last evening three juveniles robbed another juvenile of property in Downtown Silver Spring. Your [police] DFR “RAVEN 1” and 3rd District officers responded. The drone was on scene within 30 seconds and spotted the suspects running from the area of the crime. The drone tracked the suspects as they ran to the McDonald’s near the metro where they were arrested.”
Based on the image shared by Cokinos, the robbery occurred at or near the Regal movie theater in Downtown Silver Spring.
