Takoma Park Street Festival Takes Place Sunday, October 6th

The 43rd Annual Takoma Park Street Festival is scheduled for Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. This free event takes place each year on the first Sunday in October on Carroll Ave.

According to Main Street Takoma, “over 185 vendor booths line Carroll Avenue in Takoma Park, MD starting at the border with Washington, DC. The work from local artists and makers will be on display along with a wide variety of food vendors, community groups, non-profits, green companies and Takoma businesses. There will be dancing in the street as eighteen bands perform on 3 stages all day with a mix of roots rock, reggae, Americana, folk, African dance music, honky tonk, Hawaiian swing and more.

Holiday shopping season starts at the Takoma Park Street Festival! Local vendors will be selling art, jewelry, stationary, home decor, clothing, personal care products, textiles, plants, and much more with something for everyone and at all price points. Local non-profits, area politicians, schools and more have booths to share info with visitors. Many Takoma businesses move to the street for the day and visitors are also invited to stop by Takoma Park’s locally-owned, independent businesses along the route.
