Washington Commanders Announce Naming Rights Agreement For The Team’s Stadium

ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter has reported that the Washington Commanders and Northwest Federal Credit Union are “announcing an exclusive naming-rights agreement for the team’s stadium. The team will usher in a new era at Northwest Stadium for its Sept. 15th home opener against the New York Giants.”

NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport reports that the deal exceeds the average annual value of the previous naming right agreement with Fed Ex, does not include any options on a potential new stadium, and is an 8-year deal that does not preclude the team from opening a new stadium sooner than the expiration of this deal.

Managing Partner Josh Harris. “As we continue to work toward our goal of building the Commanders into an elite franchise that consistently competes for championships, we are excited to welcome our team and fans to Northwest Stadium and look forward to creating incredible memories together on the field and in the communities we serve.”
