MOM’s Organic Market Sets Opening Date for Newest Location

MOM’s Organic Market has set an opening date of Friday, September 20th, for its Silver Spring location at 8789 Georgia Avenue, according to Source of the Spring.

This will be MOM’s third Montgomery County location, joining Gaithersburg and Rockville. Hours of operation will be Monday-Saturday 9am-9pm and Sunday 9am to 8pm. Per its website, store features include, “the highest-quality, certified-organic producE, gluten-free and vegan options, sustainable seafood: we are the only grocery store in the US to offer 100% sustainable seafood- right down to canned tuna, a wide variety of bulk grocery and body care items, a health and wellness section: including organic vitamins and supplements, CBD, and clean beauty products, and an extensive recycling program for customers: we accept cell phones, tablets, compost, eyeglasses, and corks and hold annual recycling drives for denim and holiday lights.”

Scott Nash started MOM’s at the age of 22 with an initial investment of $100 as a home delivery business out of a garage. On July 2nd 1987, MOM’s made its first sale delivering to a customer who lived in Rockville, MD. Nearly 40 years later, MOM’s has stores in six states and DC, employs 1,000+ people.
