Suspect On Scooter Robs Man Performing Lands Work on Wednesday Evening

On October 2, 2024, at approximately 6:03 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 400 block of Ethan Allen Avenue following a report of an armed robbery that had occurred earlier.


According to police, “A victim reported being robbed while performing landscaping work in the area. An unknown suspect approached the victim on a scooter and demanded money. When the victim offered change, the suspect reached into his waistband, implying he was armed. The victim then handed over his wallet, and the suspect took all the cash before fleeing eastbound on Ethan Allen Avenue on the scooter. A search of the area was conducted, but the suspect was not located.

Suspect Description: Black male, approximately 25 years old, approximately 5’9 with a medium build, last seen wearing all dark clothing and a black ski mask that covered most of his face.  The scooter was white.

Lookout information was provided to all surrounding jurisdictions.  This investigation is ongoing.
