October is National Fire Prevention Month, and the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department has announced its upcoming Open House is this weekend.
The Kensington Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Open House will be on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 from 11AM to 3PM. The Open House will once again be held at Kensington’s Old Town Fire Station on Connecticut Avenue.
This year’s Open House will feature Firefighting and Emergency Medical Service demonstrations, Fire Engine and Ambulance displays, and Fire Station tours.
Kids at the Open House will be able to enjoy balloon animals, temporary tattoos, and the KVFD’s Fire Safety Bounce House. Teen and adult visitors will be able to learn more about a variety of Volunteer positions which remain vital to the and operation and success of the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department. There will also be a raffle supported by the KVFD Axillary.
