The Takoma Park Police Department has an active arrest warrant for Yonas Alemseged Harris, 25, for Threat of Mass Violence after Harris sent what was described as “intimidating and threatening emails to Montgomery College officials/employees and the Montgomery County Police Department, indicating he intended to “shoot up” Montgomery College.”
Per police, “The college implemented a Code Red for the college today closing all locations of the school. Harris is described as a Black male, 5’2”, 125 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. If you come into contact with Harris, or know where he is, please do not approach him. Instead, contact the Takoma Park Police Department immediately at 301-270-1100.
