$50,000 Powerball Ticket Sold at Giant Remains Unclaimed

According to the Maryland Lottery, a $50,000-winning Powerball lottery ticket sold on Friday, October 11 at the Giant grocery store at 7142 Arlington Road in Bethesda remains unclaimed as of Tuesday, October 15.

In June, a Bethesda man won $250,000 after purchasing five winning lottery tickets from this same Giant.

Last month, a Gaithersburg man won $50,000 after purchasing a winning Powerball ticket at the Cedar Grove Store in Germantown, a local spot known for its craft beer and sandwiches, including the popular “David Special,” featuring smoked turkey or ham, bacon, pepperjack cheese, chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and horseradish bread and butter pickles.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play and tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Winning tickets must be redeemed within 182 days from the drawing dates.
