Commanders Release First Round Pick and Announce Additional Roster Moves

The Washington Commanders have announced that they have released 2021 first round draft pick Jamin Davis.

Davis was selected by the Washington with the 19th pick in first round of the 2021 NFL draft. He signed his four-year rookie contract on May 13, 2021 and has been with the team ever since, starting 36 games in the last four seasons. The team also announced the following roster moves:

— Signed S Ben Nikkel and WR Michael Strachan to the practice squad
— Released S Sheldrick Redwine from the practice squad

Cornerback Kevon Seymour was also suspended six games without pay for violating the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Substances Policy, the league announced today.
