The owners of Lone Oak Farm Brewing Company are thrilled have announced the expansion of Lone Oak’s legacy with the opening of Fallen Oak Distilling on the existing brewery property (5000 Olney Laytonsville Road). This will include a speakeasy that will “transport you to the 1920s.” Photos below.
Fallen Oak is an adults-only (21 and up) space that “delivers an exquisite range of spirits, meticulously crafted for the discerning palate. The distillery offers Bourbon, Maple Bourbon, Vodka,Rye and, coming soon, Gin – all small-batch, delicious craft spirits with bold flavors and smooth finishes.”
Named as a tribute to the brewery’s beloved Oak tree, Fallen Oak Distilling features state-of-the-art equipment and a space that reflects the passion and dedication synonymous with Lone Oak Farm Brewing Company. And like the beers at Lone Oak Farm, the spirits at Fallen Oak are made with the corn and barley they grow in their fields.
“We are thrilled to introduce Fallen Oak to our community, which has been so supportive of us already. From The Tasting Room to our fabulous heated porch, private dining space overlooking the stills, expansive lawn and incredible loft area, The Perch, the distillery is not only a wonderful space, but offers an elevated menu of food and drinks that will tantalize your tastebuds. And that’s not all. The Speakeasy will transport you to the 1920s… if you can locate the hidden entrance!,” says Ralph Mollet, co-owner of Lone Oak Farm and Fallen Oak Distilling.
“Join us this Saturday at noon for our Grand Opening – and complimentary tasting – as we get into the spirit and raise a glass to craft distilling at its best. During the ribbon-cutting, Fallen Oak’s owners will plant a sapling that was grafted from our beloved Lone Oak, which sadly fell in April of 2023. Through this sapling, the Lone Oak’s legacy lives on. From ground to glass – served on the rocks or neat – Fallen Oak Distilling promises to deliver the finest spirits in our region.
