MCPS has shared that 25 high schools showcased their incredible skills during the 36th annual cheerleading competition on October 26, held at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring.
Participants were evaluated based on difficulty level, technique, and execution, allowing them to demonstrate their talent while giving fans a chance to rally behind their teams. Each squad delivered captivating routines filled with breathtaking stunts, synchronized choreography, and contagious energy that kept the audience thoroughly engaged.
Winston Churchill High School took home first place in Division I. “We are immensely proud of this team and their hard work. This victory is a testament to their dedication and focus throughout the year,” said Churchill’s principal, John Taylor.
Sherwood High School secured second place, while Damascus High School finished in third. Additionally, Paint Branch High School received the Spirit Award, recognizing their enthusiastic support and unwavering spirit throughout the event. Winners can be seen below:
