Commanders Trade for Four-Time Pro Bowler

The Washington Commanders have traded for four time time Pro Bowler Marshon Lattimore, according to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

According to Pelissero, “Trade! The #Saints  are sending four-time Pro Bowl CB Marshon Lattimore to the #Commanders, sources tell me and @RapSheet.” According to the Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala, “The Commanders get Lattimore and a 5th-round pick. The Saints get a 3rd, 4th and 6th, per source.”

Lattimore was selected by the Saints in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft and was named the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2017 and has been named a Pro Bowler four times in his career. Last season, on November 25, 2023, Lattimore was placed on injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury in Week 10. He appeared in and started the first ten games of the season and finished with 48 total tackles (39 solo), one interception, and eight passes defended.

This season, he has played and started in seven of nine games for the Saints. He’s on a minimum contract for the rest of the season, and according to Over the Cap, will have cap hits of $31.4M next season and $28.6M in 2026, according to Sam FortierPhoto courtesy NFL.
