Alert Montgomery has sent a ‘Severe Traffic Alert’ regarding a “traffic incident that closes all northbound lanes of Columbia Pike (US 29) between Lockwood Drive and Northwest Drive in White Oak. Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) chief spokesperson Pete Piringer has stated that the collision occurred on Route 29, Columbia Pike and Northwest Drive. Per Piringer, One person was trapped inside of a vehicle involved in the crash and has been extricated by MCFRS. Two patients are being evaluated and some lanes are blocked.
4pm update: All northbound lanes of Columbia Pike (US 29) between Lockwood Drive and Northwest Drive have reopened from earlier traffic incident. Expect residual delays.
