The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) shared a traffic advisory at 7:14pm on Monday evening regarding a collision that has the 2400 Block of Arcola Ave, between Georgia Ave and Amherst Ave in Wheaton, shut down. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route and expect delays.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) chief spokesperson Pete Piringer shared that at approximately 6:50pm, on the 2400 Arcola Ave., between Hermitage Avenue and Georgia Avenue, a collision caused a rollover and vehicle fire with entrapment. Units are on the scene and the patient has been extricated.
