District 4 (4D) Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) Commander David Smith shared this morning that at approximately 6:48 AM, officers from the 4th District responded to reports of a suspicious situation near the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Ennalls Avenue in Wheaton.
Authorities were alerted after a man was spotted slumped over the wheel of a vehicle. Upon arriving at the scene, officers made contact with the individual, who reached for an object that turned out to be a loaded privately manufactured ghost gun. Officers seized the weapon and arrested the suspect.
