Joe’s Noodle House, located at 1488 Rockville Pike, will permanently close on Monday, December 30th after more than 20 years at the location (we don’t have an exact opening date, but know the restaurant has been open since at least 2001).
The restaurant’s signage reads “Noodle House” and we have been told the name Joe belonged to a previous owner of the restaurant. According to Moco360, the closure comes as the chef is retiring, and the owner is returning to Taiwan.
Known for its Szechuan cuisine, the restaurant offered a diverse menu, including noodle soups, stir-fried dishes like Beef Chow Fun and Drunken Noodles, and main courses such as Kung Pao Chicken, Ma-Po Tofu, and Sweet and Sour Pork Chops. Seafood options included Steamed Whole Fish and Shrimp Pad Thai, while vegetarian dishes featured Eggplant with Basil in Garlic Sauce and Soft Bean Curd with Black Mushroom.
