Mykonos, a Rockville staple for decades, will be opening a new restaurant in Potomac’s Cabin John Village. The restaurant will be taking over the space that was occupied by Broadway Pizza until the end of 2021 and though an opening timeframe is not yet available, we now expect it to be in the coming months.
The opening of the new restaurant will not affect the Rockville location in Congressional North Plaza, which will continue to operate. With construction progressing, the upcoming Mykonos location has a meeting for its beer, wine, and liquor license with ABS on Thursday, January 16th at 10:30am.
Mykonos, more of a traditional Greek restaurant, also has a sister, fast-casual restaurant– Gyroland. Gyroland is located at 1701-B3 Rockville Pike and opened in 2017. It serves open or wrapped sandwiches with lamb, beef, pork or chicken as set menu items or customizable dishes, as well as platters, salads and sides, Greek appetizers like the tyrokafteri spicy feta dip, and more.
