The Washington Capitals and Monumental Sports & Entertainment family released a statement wishing Washington Capitals color analyst Craig Laughlin the best as he focuses on his health and recovery from an upcoming medical procedure.
Per Monumental Sports: “For more than 30 years, Craig has been a valued member of our network and is loved and respected by both our organization and the Capitals fanbase. His incredible strength and resilience inspire everyone who knows him, and we look forward to his return to the broadcast booth when he is ready.
Alan May will temporarily serve as the primary color commentator for all Capitals games on Monumental Sports Network starting on January 21 and will also fill in for Craig during Saturday’s game against the Nashville Predators. A rotating group of analysts will take on Alan’s responsibilities for Capitals Pregame Live and Capitals Postgame Live.
We wish Craig a swift and complete recovery and will support him with the same enthusiasm he has shown for the Capitals and our community over the years.”
