A traffic stop near the White Oak Shopping Center led to an arrest and seizure of a loaded firearm.

Our District Community Action Team (DCAT) was working in the White Oak / Lockwood Drive area when they made a traffic stop near the White Oak Shopping Center.
During the traffic stop, officers observed the driver acting suspicious and It appeared a weapon may be concealed in the driver’s waistband. A loaded 9mm handgun was subsequently recovered from the driver’s waistband and they were placed under arrest.
Proactively removing illegally possessed firearms from our streets helps to reduce violence.”
