The AFC and NFC Championship games will be played this Sunday and for the first time in over 30 years our home team, the Washington Commanders, will be competing in the NFC Championship for the chance to make it to the Super Bowl. Ahead of the games, betting website BetOnline.ag released who fans are rooting for based on geotagged X data and fan hashtags.
Coming in with the most support are the Buffalo Bills, who played in four consecutive Super Bowls in the 90s and lost all four games (New York Giants, Washington, and Dallas twice). Buffalo has support across the country.
The Washington Commanders, the least likely team to win it all according to Vegas odds, have the second most support. Maryland, DC, West Virginia, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Louisiana are all rooting for Washington to take it all.
Coming in third are the two-time defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs, who have support from Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri. In last place, the Philadelphia Eagles. They have support from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
