Daron Payne, who has been dealing with a gruesome finger injury since the wild card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has been ruled out of the NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Payne, who has only missed one other game since being drafted in 2018, is also dealing with a knee injury that he appears to have suffered in the divisional playoff game against the Detroit Lions last week. The former Pro Bowler was officially ruled out today by the team after being listed as questionable.
The Commanders will also be without starting guard Sam Cosmi, who tore his ACL in last week’s win against the Detroit Lions. The Commanders are 6 point underdogs against the NFC East winning Philadelphia Eagles. Kickoff is Sunday at 3pm and the game will be televised on FOX.
