The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has issued the transportation-related holiday schedules for Presidents Day on Monday, February 17, including changes for Ride On, Metro, MARC Train, and parking services.
Per the news release: “Below are the transportation-related holiday schedules for Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 17:
- County offices – Will be closed.
- US 29 Flash bus service - Orange line will operate on a Holiday schedule. The Blue line (typically, weekday only) will not be in service.
- TRiPS Commuter Store at Silver Spring Transit Center – Will be open 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
- TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store - Will be closed.
- Parking at Bethesda, Silver Spring and Wheaton public garages, lots and curbside meters – Will be free.
- Metrorail service – Will operate on a Saturday Holiday schedule from 5 a.m. to midnight. View timetables at wmata.com/schedules/timetables.
- Metrobus service – Will operate on a Saturday +Supplemental schedule. View timetables at wmata.com/schedules/timetables.
- MARC Train service – Will operate on a R schedule on all three lines.
- Penn Line Trains 455 (8:45pm departure from Penn Station) and 454 (10:05pm departure from Washington) will operate.
- Brunswick Line will be the R, not the R+ schedule. EPTA connecting bus service to West Virginia stations will be available from Train 875 at Brunswick

- MTA Commuter bus service – Will not be in service, except for Commuter Bus Route 201 (Gaithersburg/BWI Business District) which will operate on the Weekend/Holiday “S” Schedule. Learn more at mta.maryland.gov/service-presidents-day.
