Earlier tonight, a specialized 4D team from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) made a significant discovery while conducting operations to combat criminal activities in the district. The team located a stolen vehicle that had been reported missing from the Rockville area on January 10th.
According to District 4 Commander David Smith, the vehicle was stopped in the 1200 block of Selfridge Road (near the intersection of Randolph Rd. and Veirs Mill Rd.), leading to the arrest of an adult male and female. During the traffic stop, officers discovered that the suspects were in possession of not only the stolen car but also illegal substances, including crack cocaine and PCP, as well as drug scales and cash.
Both individuals were subsequently booked at the Central Processing Unit, where they face charges of auto theft and drug offenses. Commander Smith wrote,“Outstanding work by our officers in getting stolen property off the streets.” Additional information about the suspects was not provided.
