Though it hasn’t been the best kept secret due to the very obvious design of the grocery store, Amazon Fresh put up signage in the 38,000SF space at White Oak Town Center (12345 Columbia Pike) earlier this month and has now set an opening date for its fourth Montgomery County location.
A representative at the store let us know that the grocery store will be opening on Thursday, March 27th. Amazon Fresh will be joining the recently opened First Watch and Montgomery County’s first Dave’s Hot Chicken as a tenant of the new shopping center. The grocery store appears to be partially stocked and employee training was taking place on Tuesday.
Amazon Fresh paused store expansion early in 2023, but resumed openings last year. Locally, the location at 15790 Shady Grove Rd. in Gaithersburg opened in August. Amazon Fresh has two additional locations in Montgomery County, both in Chevy Chase, at 8531 Chevy Chase Lake Terrace and 5463 Wisconsin Ave.
