Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to reports of smoke on the second floor of Albert Einstein High School, located at 11135 Newport Mill Rd. in Kensington.
According to MCFRS Chief spokesperson Pete Piringer, firefighters arrived on the scene to investigate the source of the smoke, which was believed to be emanating from the HVAC system.
Piringer stated that one patient was involved on-site for non-life-threatening injuries. Public safety reporter Cordell Pugh later reported that the issue was determined to be electrical in nature. An adult was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
