Suspects Utilize Stolen Truck Connected to Multiple Commercial Burglaries in Early Morning Break-In

On March 21, 2025, at approximately 7:38 am, Takoma Park Police officers responded to a burglary alarm at the Caribbean Market, 7500 block of New Hampshire Avenue. Upon arrival, they found the front glass shattered and spoke with an employee who had just arrived to open the store.


According to Takoma Park Police, “Security footage revealed that at 7:32 am, a stolen blue Dodge Ram pulled up. A suspect in black clothing, wearing a face mask and gloves, shattered the window with a window punch and entered, heading straight to the office. A second suspect, also in black with a mask and gloves, stood lookout. The first suspect forced entry into the office using a crowbar, attempting unsuccessfully to open the safe with a sledgehammer and axe. He then grabbed rolled coins and water before fleeing. Both suspects left in the stolen truck, heading northbound on New Hampshire Avenue into Prince George’s County.”

The suspect vehicle was stolen from Prince George’s County and has been linked to multiple commercial burglaries in Montgomery County. Additional information about the suspects has not been provided by police. The investigation is ongoing.
