Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a townhouse fire on Tralee Terrace in Damascus on Tuesday morning.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, smoke alarms alerted the occupant, who evacuated and called 911. The fire, determined to be accidental due to combustibles too close to the stove, caused $250,000 in damage, displaced one adult and three children, and resulted in the loss of three cats.
