Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a house fire in the 14200 block of Castaway Drive in Silver Spring on Monday.
According to MCFRS Spokesperson David Pazos, crews found a basement fire with no extension. Two adults have been displaced and two cats died. The cause remains under investigation. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.
