Brandy Melville Opens Its First Maryland Location

Brandy Melville has opened its first Maryland store at 11804 Grand Park Ave in North Bethesda’a Pike & Rose area, taking over the space formerly occupied by Evoluxxy.

The Italy-based clothing brand first entered the U.S. market in 2009 with a store in Los Angeles’ Westwood neighborhood near the UCLA campus and was recognized in 2014 by Bloomberg as “Instagram’s First Retail Success.”

The store offers a range of women’s clothing, including tops, sweatshirts, pants, dresses, activewear, and graphic tees, along with accessories such as jewelry, purses, makeup bags, and belts. Shoppers can purchase items either in-store or online.

Brandy Melville has drawn attention for its unique sizing approach, as its clothing is generally available in a single size, often equivalent to small or extra small. The multinational chain has also been the subject of media scrutiny, including the HBO documentary “Brandy Hellville & the Cult of Fast Fashion,” which examined claims regarding its hiring practices and its impact on teenage consumers.
