Washington Capitals analyst Craig Laughlin announced that he will miss a few upcoming games on the advice of his medical team. Earlier this year, Laughlin underwent open heart surgery and subsequently missed time as he focused on his recovery.
“Hey #Caps fans. Unfortunately I haven’t been feeling 100%. My cardiology and medical team have advised me to miss a few games. I’m so disappointed to step away from the booth again, but I can’t wait to rejoin our @MonSportsNet broadcast team very soon. Go Caps!” he said on social media.
In January, the Capitals and Monumental Sports & Entertainment released a statement wishing him well during his recovery. Laughlin later shared positive news with fans, saying, “I am excited to officially announce that after 7 weeks post open heart surgery, I am finally making my return to the @capitals broadcast booth with @JoeBpXp this Sunday March 30th.”
