Dollar Tree has signed on to replace the recently shuttered Party City at 5600 Urbana Pike Suite C, Frederick, MD 21704 in Key Plaza.
The store has recently put up temporary coming soon signage at the 10,624 SF space and is expected to open later this year– joining Aldi, Panera, Pure Barre, and more in the shopping center.
Dollar Tree raised prices to $1.25 in 2021 and then added “Dollar Tree Plus” sections with items priced at $3 and $5. Earlier this year, Dollar Tree expanded price increases on select items throughout its stores, with prices rising to $1.50 and $1.75 on items like ramen noodles and soda.
Dollar Tree has recently opened Montgomery County locations in Cloverly and Gaithersburg and has locations in Damascus, Derwood, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Montgomery Village, Rockville, Silver Spring, and Wheaton.
